School and my silver lining

I was having a horible drea the one where your at shool and for some reason everyone is looking at you, but it's no dream. I wasn't even out of my car, well i was only 5'4" and driving a car into the highschool parking lot(I skipped a grade)

As I got out i had a black rain jumpper on, before i could grab my backpack i could feel a tap on my shoulder. I spun around seeing a smiling face of a tall boy with blonde spiky hair.

"Hey Mac! Haven't seen you in a while," Mike said to me.

"well yea i think the last time would have been a couple years ago when you used to babysit me," I said laughing

"yeah but your no baby now," He said looking me over to much for confort so i changed the subject.

"Could you show me to the office?" I asked hoisting my backpack on one shoulder.

"Sure," i could tell he was thinking something.

Mike dropped me off at the office when i went in a wave of heat came over me. I smelt something sweet and I saw him, a tall boy with copper hair to beautiful for words, his skin was so pale paler than mine and i was almost the same color of paper. He whipped around eys turning from gold to black.

"Fine, I will just have to come back when someone comptant is working," He said in a velvet smooth voice.

"Hey, 'buddy', don't talkto her like that. Show her some respect she has to deal with us kids and doesn't need some full of agast eenage boy all hyped up on moutain dew." I said in a strong voice

He rolled his black eyes and isaw a grin spread across his face and then he walked, no danced out of the office. I went up to the women and asked, " Are you okay some guys are just jerks, I am Mackenzie Root."

She said, "Thank you very much," and she handed me a pile of books higher than my head and a group of papers which i could not see sence they blocked my face.

Well the classes went on easily, I had most of my classes with Mike apart from English, which the onlyteacher all day made me stand u and talk about myself. I sat with Mike and his friends during lunch. They all intrduced themselves but i only got about 2 names. I staied out of most of the conversations and after eating quickly I got up put my tray way and walke dout of the lunch room, not before cathing the copper haired boy looking at me smae smirk playing on his lips.

After lunch i had no more classes and went to my locker grabbing my bag I took out my Cell phone dailed my aunts number.

"Hello," She answered

"Hello, may i go to Jocabs i promiced him i'ed come over," I asked walking to my car before Mike could catch up.

"sure have fun be home before midnight." She said and than before i could reply she had hung up.

I smiled did a bit of happy dancing as i slid into my car, i turned it on and shot out of the parking lot. I was on my way to La Push a half hour drive from school. I turned my radio on full blast to drone out my wonderful day, not.

Before i knew it i was there and Jocab must have heard my stero and as waiting for me in his driveway i smile playing on his lips. I got out of the car and before i knew it he was in front of me giving me a big soft hug.

" I am so happy you came," He said with a thankful tone.

"Well i said i would come over, don't ya love my car?" I asked sitting on the hood.

"Very nice get up and pop the hood," He said observing more than the car as i bent down to open the latch.

"Well Jacob, are you a car guy?" I asked as he thumbed the motter and looked at my oil.

"well I built my car, so yeah i'm good," he said pointing at himself smileing.

After we played around with my car we went in side,"well if it isn't Mac?" Billy said rolling over to me in his wheel chair.

"Hey Billy long time no see. How have you been?" I aked sitting down on the couch in the small living room barly big enough for the couch and tv it held.

"good, my wrist is good now, your not planng on pushing me out of my chair anytime soon are ya?" He asked jokingly.

"I did it once when i was 3 years old! and you were calling me firecraker!" I said dfendeing myself horibly. We all laughed including the very close Jacob whose arm was around my shoulder.

After lots of converstaion Jocob walked me to my car holding my hand. "Thanks for coming over today, it was really fun." He said smiling shyly. 

"after the school day i had today, you were my silver lining Jacob," By this time i was sitting in my started car with the window down to leaned out and gave Jacob a soft peck on the cheak. "good night Jacob." I said pulling away and i drove down the long road blushing.
